Welcome Message
We are delighted to announce that the 27th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) conference will be hosted by the School of Nursing, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), on March 6 and 7, 2024, at the HKU Grand Hall. We are excited to welcome you to Hong Kong for a face-to-face opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate.

EAFONS was founded in 1997 with the aim of providing a regular regional forum for doctoral prepared nurse academics and their students. Since then, annual forum has been held in Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, and Singapore.

The theme of EAFONS 2024 is "Generating Impact Through Doctoral Nursing Education." By nurturing future nursing leaders, doctoral nursing education generates impacts on clinical practice, nursing research, and education. Doctoral nursing graduates excel in conducting cutting-edge research that informs the formulation of health policy, practice improvement initiatives, and innovative teaching and learning pedagogy. The 2024 EAFONS will serve as a platform to enhance tripartite collaboration and strengthen international exchanges.

We are honored to have renowned nursing scholars Professor Azita Emami, Dean and Linda Koch Lorimer Professor of Nursing, Yale School of Nursing, Yale University and Professor Hugh McKenna, Professor of Nursing, School of Nursing, Ulster University as our keynote speakers. Besides, we have a variety of interactive programs of symposia, workshops, and free paper presentations. The networking opportunities will expand your vision and capacities as nursing students, practitioners, educators, and researchers.

Your participation and contribution to EAFONS 2024 are greatly appreciated. We believe that your dedication, passion, and expertise will make this conference a resounding success and advance nursing science to new heights.

We look forward to welcoming you to The University of Hong Kong in March 2024!
